Abstract
The aim of the work was qualitative evaluation of
occurrence of yeasts and yeast-like organisms in the water and bottom sediments
of the Szczecin Lagoon. One ascertained occurrence of 24 species classified as
yeasts and yeast-like organisms on the basis of analyses of the water and bottom
sediment mycoflora of the Szczecin Lagoon. 21 species were common for the water
and sediment samples, 1 found only in the water, 4 were present only in the
sediment. The most often isolated yeasts at all stations in a period of
investigations were Candida and
Rhodotorula.
